Humpbacks for the final trip of the season!
Today we encountered Humpbacks during the final trip of the 2016 season! We had some blustery weather to contend with, especially to the east, as we left the Harbour. We headed west towards Race Rocks and Sooke but could not find any signs of Whales. So we headed over to race Rocks where we saw a Bald Eagle, Seals & Sea Lions including one Sea Lion feeding on a Salmon.
As we left Race Rocks we heard about a couple of Humpbacks being spotted near Constance Bank now the conditions had improved so we headed that way. Near Constance we encountered two Humpbacks swimming together heading west. As we watched them we also spotted at least two more humpbacks further south, also heading west.
It was a great way to finish our 2016 season!
